Our Why
At a time when our community has felt the strain most, WeLoveUs was created to offer a solution. Black consumers want to shop with intention and make every coin count, and Black entrepreneurs want access and support. Our platform brings those needs together with a mission to uplift, invest, and empower.
What started as a physical market place in 1995 has now evolved as our landscape has changed and the transitions we are living through continue.
Amid unemployment shifts that have impacted Black women most, and at a time when creators are losing spaces to showcase their work, we are pouring back into the community. That means highlighting creators with something meaningful to offer. Items crafted on the Continent. Treats that remind you of the comfort food of your youth. Accessories that add personality to an already colorful character. We are the place not only to buy Black-owned, but to discover new makers and creators and help break down the barriers that hold emerging Black brands back.
WeLoveUs operates as a limited-edition retail experience, bringing the best drops your way on Cyber Monday, during Black History Month, for the ESSENCE Festival of Culture, and more. Each time we open our “doors,” it is a celebration of Black creativity. And every time you shop, it is an act of economic empowerment. In that way, we all win.
Sundial Media & Technology Group’s vision is to build a holistic, culturally grounded economy for Black makers, creators and entrepreneurs. This space supports that mission. It offers access, cultural alignment, and the chance to gain financial stability for entrepreneurs without the hurdles that are common in mass retail. And brands are placed in front of shoppers who are intentionally choosing to support their own. If there were ever a time to meet the moment, it is now.
We Love Us. We See Us. We Shop Us.
